It has state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in Cancun, Mexico, and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, with regional offices in the Riviera Maya, Cozumel, Puerto Vallarta, Ixtapa, Los Cabos, Huatulco and Mexico City, in Mexico; Puerto Plata, in the Dominican Republic; Montego Bay, in Jamaica and Shanghai, in China. The company also has representative offices in La Romana, Dominican Republic, as well as in Negril and Ocho Rios in Jamaica.
The management team has a combined industry experience of over 100 years and leads an international, multilingual staff of more than 600 professionals dedicated to providing extraordinary experiences in exciting and motivating destinations. Amstar dmc also offers creative solutions for stimulating tour circuits, memory-packed destination weddings and tailor-made programs for any event or occasion.
The first Amstar dmc office opened its doors in 1989 in Cancun with a pioneering staff of 20. During the following 10 years, servicing key accounts like Apple Vacations and Canada 3000 Vacations, the Cancun operation grew to over 200 employees attending to over 3,000,000 passengers vacationing in Cancun and the rapidly growing Riviera Maya. In 2002 Amstar dmc expanded to the Dominican Republic, opening another corporate office in Punta Cana. Over the subsequent years, additional destination offices were opened in both countries including Puerto Vallarta, Ixtapa, Cozumel, Los Cabos and Huatulco in Mexico and La Romana in the Dominican Republic. In 2008, Amstar became the first Mexican DMC to open a representation in Shanghai, China. More recently, in 2013 Amstar dmc's sister company, Worldstar, officially opened offices in Hawaii.
This growth of destination infrastructure further enhanced the company's ability to achieve its mission of being the leading provider of destination services in these countries. Expansion to other countries is planned in the near future and management continues to look for promising opportunities where Amstar dmc can be a driving force in delivering exceptional destination services to the tourism & incentive markets in other key destinations.
